Sugar Hill citizens can volunteer their services to the city without pay on various boards and commissions. Some of these are established in the City Charter; others are set up by the Mayor or City Council to perform special, limited functions.
The Sugar Hill Arts Commission is a group of artists and art lovers set on a mission to encourage, promote and expand public interest in the arts in Sugar Hill, Georgia.
The Downtown Development Authority is appointed by the City Council to assist with revitalization and redevelopment of the central business district and the Sugar Hill Downtown Overlay District.
A volunteer board made up of five Sugar Hill citizens appointed by the Mayor and Council to assist with decisions related to current and future land use regulation in the city.
Dedicated to Preserving and Promoting Historic Resources in the Sugar Hill through Preservation, Education, Advocacy, and Leadership.
The Broad Street Concert Band of Sugar Hill is a community band for adults that plays a wide variety of musical styles.
Players Guild At Sugar Hill is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to engaging our community through quality theatrical entertainment for all audiences by providing opportunities for artists and patrons.
The Youth Council works to discuss, examine, and understand local government decision-making as well as state-wide policy and current events, strategies for community building, and opportunities to engage the public through events and volunteerism.
The Sugar Hill Development Authority was created for the purpose of developing and promoting for the public good and general welfare trade, commerce, industry, and employment opportunities in the City of Sugar Hill.
